Breakfast: Still the Most Important Meal of the Day

In case you were wondering what to write in your food journal about breakfast, keep in mind that wholegrains, protein, and dairy are core breakfast foods.

A good friend told me her breakfast of choice was Greek yogurt with ground flax seeds and fruit.

Greek yogurt has twice as much protein as standard yogurts. Flax seeds have high concentrations of omega 3 fatty acids and fruit provides vitamin C and other nutrients.  Achieve perfection  with toasted oats or quinoa for your wholegrains.
