Is this a question of pick your poison? "If you can't pronounce it, don't eat it?" Should we also not ingest it in any form?
What about medicines whose names we can't pronounce? Sildenafil - doesn't that sound better as Viagra? If food companies follow the example of drug companies, will their ingredients become more digestible?
Simplistic messages in the guise of good may not be all good. That's not to say that Vani Hari has not been effective in creating change in the food industry, just that she is not the only voice, and possibly not a voice of reason.
But who am I? Buy her book and diet plan. Then make an educated pick that works for you.
