I love this Eat Smart Costco salad mix. It makes imbibing greens on a daily basis easy. It's cheap, convenient, and has just the right mixture of crunch, sweet and sour.
Who doesn't like kale these days? Add broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, chicory, dried cranberries, roasted pumpkin seeds and a poppy seed dressing and you have 7 super foods at only 140 calories a cup. Skip the dressing and lose most of the calories.
Concerns about loss of nutritional content are overblown. Unless you plan to eat the entirety of all you buy to make salad the old fashioned way, refrigerator storage will reduce vitamin content the same way as bagging. Bagged salad is a healthy food.
Read about healthy foods because there is more to life than salad.
The popularity of bagged salads and their infinite varieties is a testament to the fact that more people are eating their vegetables. And isn't that the point?
